Guns, responsible citizens do not equal lawlessness

The Mesa Legend offers The Rant Line for our readers to call in and share their opinions anonymously:
“I think people with the consensus that less guns equals a safer environment and that people who get permits are unstable and have shoot-outs like in the old west, its really not true.

“People who have concealed weapons permits are responsible citizens who are basically just interested in protecting themselves.

“In school shootings and situations like that there’s not an active shooter.

“The police don’t get there, see the shooter, and bam, they shoot them and stop them, stop; the threat.

“It just doesn’t happen. The people are already dead and the police are only there to pick up the pieces.

“It’s ridiculous that because some people do that that it is restricting people basically their constitutional right. They’re not having the opportunity to defend themselves.

“It all comes down to gun control. People, who have ill feelings about guns because they don’t know them, don’t shoot them, don’t have them.

“It’s ridiculous to think that there are mass shoot-outs like WWIII or something. It’s really just responsible citizens who have taken the initiative to take the class, do the marksmanship training and actually have a state permit.

‘Criminals don’t care about gun laws, they’re going to take guns wherever they want, get them illegally. They don’t care that’s why they’re criminals.

“They don’t think this is a school, I can’t take it here.

“They don’t care, they do it anyway, that’s why their criminals.

“Criminals prefer unarmed victims.

“It’s ridiculous that people who are against guns think having guns would make a crazy lawless land.
