MCC baseball wins late against Benedictine

MCC men’s baseball won, after facing challenge throughout the game against Benedictine at the Mesa Baseball Complex on Feb. 7. Outfielder Jared Crockett led Mesa in at-bats, and one of his five turns at the plate led to the first two points of the game in his team’s favor. Hunter Bross and Crocket both had two RBIs, while Marcus Skundrich, Kody Funderburk and Garrett Smith had one RBI each.

The game ended in a win for Mesa, which put their record at 9-0 for the season. On Feb. 10 Mesa faced off with Glendale Community College, a game that ended in a 7-3 loss for the T-Birds. The next home game for the team will be Feb. 19 versus Thompson River at noon. For more information about this and other sporting events visit www.mesatbirdsports.com.
