Mesa Community College Vice President of Administrative Services resigns

Mesa Community College interim president Kimberly Britt announced she has accepted the resignation of former Vice President of Administrative Services Mary Driessen on Feb. 1, 2024.

“This morning I accepted Mary Driessen’s resignation. In the coming days, I will use the Shared Governance process to determine an interim Vice President of Administrative Services (VPAS) and the next steps in the search for a new VPAS,” wrote Britt in an email to employees.

Driessen was not able to provide any comment to The Mesa Legend at this time.

The resignation comes six days after the announcement of a leave of absence from MCC President Tammy Robinson.

Driessen officially took over the role of VPAS after having served as the interim in the role, according to the MCC website.

Driessen began her tenure at MCC in 2001 as Associate Vice President of Business Operations, according to the MCC website.

Britt hosted an office hours session on Thursday afternoon and answered questions about how the new vacant role will affect faculty members.
