Decision final: no more smoking

Legend’s View

So long smokers.
Maricopa Community College District’s F??r will soon have his Breathe Easy Maricopa initiative put into place.
When regular classes resume in the fall, smoking will no longer be allowed on any of the district’s campuses or offices.
Mesa district’s chancellor Rufus Glasper has taken the responsibility of keeping all district employees and students healthy by eliminating the chances of them being exposed to secondhand smoke.
This unilateral decision made by Glasper has raised some eyebrows within the district since being announced out of the blue in the fall semester of 2012.
Some have said Glasper’s decision was strictly a political move; sort of a “look what I did” resum?
