Offering free, personalized exercise plans, and fitness assessments, the fitness center is an ideal place for college students to get a work out. They offer different two-credit hour classes as well as two one-credit hour classes.

Both of the classes give students’ access to not only the Fitness Center, but also the Group Activity Center, and the Health Improvement Center.

The Fitness Center features recumbent bikes, stair climbers, treadmills, and many weight lifting and weight resistance machines.

“I like how there is a lot of machines that work different muscles, and how you can come in whenever you want,” MCC freshman Mike DeAngelo said.

“My favorite machines are the ROW and the leg press,” DeAngelo said.

The Group Activity Center offers day and night classes, such as yoga, body sculpting, cardio fi tness, cycling, kick-n-box, core fitness, Pilates mat work, and other cardio conditioning classes.

Group Activity Center classes are free, unlike the Fitness Centers.

The Fitness Center Classes are $65 per credit hour, $20 for use of facilities, and also charge a one time registration fee of $15 for each semester.

Classes are still open for students to join and there are late-start classes available.

“I think it’s important for college students to sign up,” Jared Blitz said, one of the personal trainers for the Fitness Center.

“It gives them an outlet for all their stress as well as providing them knowledgeable resources for free, for those who are signed up.
