Jobs in degree field crucial for the future

The View

Today’s economy fluctuates up and down so much these days people are beginning to get motion sickness.

Businesses are taking every measure to ensure that money is being spent on the right things and especially being spent on the right people.

As freshly graduated scholars head out to look for brand new employment, one thing that is critical to a new boss is whether or not a person can do the job.

Chances are more likely that an owner will chose an employee who has had experience in the field they are applying for.

If someone is trying to become a chef and applies to a high class restaurant, more than likely there will be quite a few applicants.

Who is the restaurant owner going to choose, someone who has worked in a kitchen at a restaurant with a fresh culinary degree or someone who is fresh out of culinary school without any experience?

College students need to eat so working is a must.

But settling for jobs that are easy to get might be more detrimental to future employment and careers.

It’s much easier said than done but many career jobs have entry level positions that are great for college students.

If someone wants to be a teacher, schools are always hiring paraprofessionals who help teachers and students with everyday tasks.

If someone entering the medical field, being an assistant at a medical office or hospital can improve crucial skills not taught at a school.

And once someone is ready to interview for a job and turn in a resume, you can be confident in knowing that a few of the references put down can be the people you worked for.
