MCC’s student newspaper, the Mesa Legend, hosted the first ever LegendFest on April 20 in front of the Theatre Outback.
The festival featured three local bands; Pain and Cable, Inept Hero and The Hourglass Cats, and a wide range of local vendors looking to increase their business’ awareness to students.
The first two acts to take the stage, Pain and Cable and Inept Hero, both had MCC students as members of the band.
Village Inn sponsored a pie eating contest and Philly Steak and Wings was sponsor of a wing eating contest.
Participants of the wing and pie eating contest competed for prizes like gift certificates to Salad and Such, a Hookah provided by Silver Moon Hookahs and a shirt and hat from New World Culture.
Sponsors of LegendFest also provided more than $200 in gift certificates for raffles that students could sign up and win for free.
