New DNA evidence for Bigfoot

On Oct. 1, a group of Sasquatch researchers known as the Sasquatch Genome Project made a presentation in Dallas, Texas, claiming to have DNA evidence of the creature as well as never before seen conclusive video evidence.

Discovery.com claimed that the entire presentation was a stunt to promote an upcoming Bigfoot film saying that it is just another hoax in a long history of hoaxes surrounding the creature.

Even if the alleged evidence presented by this particular group of researchers turns out to be a hoax, they are not the only ones who claim to have physical evidence to support the existence of Bigfoot.

“We have gotten all the usual material evidence the last couple of years.  We’ve found hair, scat, footprints/handprints and of course the Toenail,” said Alex Hearn, Bigfoot researcher for the Arizona Cryptozoological Research Organization.

Hearn also added that their group has recently come across what they think to be possible nesting sites, hunting and burial grounds.

“I try to stay within the realms of real science, by being as consistent as possible,” Hearn said.

Dr. Melba Ketchum has been heading up the research for the Sasquatch Genome Project and said that it is “a serious study” that concludes the creature does exist.

The group spent $500,000 analyzing DNA samples from an unknown species.

The money was donated by businessman and Bigfoot believer Adrian Erikson.

According to a statement released by the group, their studies have been backed by 11 other universities and laboratories.

Others have challenged the findings such as New York University, who tested some of the samples and said that the samples had human results.

“So much of the world we live in is still so vast and unexplored.  Every year are finding new and exciting species,” 26-year-old local Bigfoot believer Gary Hatch said.

Hatch added that he thinks the evidence could be real and thinks it would be great if it were because it would open up the door for researchers to hopefully find some other mysterious creatures in the same realm.
