Phoenix Design Week showcases local talent

Starting Wednesday Oct. 21 through Sunday Oct. 25, the first ever Phoenix Design Week will be held.It will include a variety of exhibitions, open houses, workshops, presentations, activities, films and other community-growth oriented activities.
The event is meant to give the local design community a chance to showcase their talents.
The week’s different exhibitions are to be held at several venues around the greater Phoenix area. Key speakers are scheduled to appear at the weekend conference which will be held at The Phoenix Convention Center.
Major design companies such as Bluemedia, AIGA and SarkissianMason are some of the event’s sponsors.
Sterling Brands, the largest independent brand consultancy in the country, is also participating. Their clients include such names as Kraft, Pepsi, Pfizer and Nestle.
Phoenix Design Week is anticipated to be a big step towards Phoenix recognition in the design community with such cities as New York and L.A.
