T-birds open season with win and a tie

The Thunderbirds baseball team has begun its 16th season under Coach Tony Cirelli.
They opened the season with a 7-6 win over Chandler-Gilbert and tied with Gateway 7-7 the next afternoon.
Cirelli has a legacy of winning at MCC and looks forward to continuing the tradition this season.
The Thunderbirds have amassed 14 men championship titles in their history and look to build upon that foundation with this year’s team.
The team will be playing host to the Canadian All-Stars, a traveling baseball team from Alberta.
They will also be playing against universities such as Weber State of Utah, as well as ASU and UofA.
