VP of Administrative Services accepts position in California

Kevin Bonneville

The President of Administrative Services, has accepted the same position at San Diego City College.Davis will finish his role at MCC on Feb. 20 and then begin in California in early March. He came to MCC in 2005 and has been a part of many things that the school has done over that time period.

“When I arrived at this school it was in good fiscal shape and it still is,” Davis said.

Over that time, Davis has had to get acclimated to Arizona. Davis grew up in the Los Angeles area.

“I like the people here, they are extremely friendly. That took awhile to get used to,” Davis said.

One of Davis’ regrets is that he hasn’t had enough interaction with students.

“I consider myself to be a very student-friendly person, but I haven’t been able to interact with student government,” Davis said.

Davis said that he’ll try to change that once he gets settled in his new job.

Kurt Conover, the current dean of administrative services and former Acting Vice President of Administrative Services at Paradise Valley Community College, will take over Davis’ role.

Conover will begin his new role on Feb. 23.
