Behind the Scenes

Kevin Holloway

On a campus filled with sporting teams and student athletes, some may have wondered who’s behind the scene’s holding it all together like Elmer’s glue to a puzzle.
If one were to look, they’d find a portable building behind the gymnasium, housing the Athletic Director’s offices.
Todd Bolser is that glue for MCC, not only is he the Sports Information Director for MCC, he also attended MCC where he was a member of the Student Government and served as an officer in 2004.
Bolser then went to ASU and attended the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism.
After graduating he returned to MCC, and slowly but surely got back into the day-to-day workings of the sports scene around campus.
Now he’s the guy that helps everything go smoothly.
When growing up he played soccer in Ohio for 11 years, as well as his favorite sport baseball.
When asked about this year’s teams, he said, “We have many new coaches as well as facility upgrades to cater to our players and students.”
He also went into depth on a radio show, 106.7 FM, that would be broadcasting the home and away games for football, so even if fans can’t make it to the game it is just a click away.
When asked what his position entailed, he had a list of jobs and duties that just went from here to California and every job seemed just as important as the last.
Between being a fellow Thunderbird and graduating from Arizona State University, there’s simply nothing this sports information director can’t do, or won’t try to.
He’s a marketing whiz, as well as a media specialist that encourages students to come to him with any problems, questions, or concerns.
If you run into Bolser around school, stop and pick his brain for a second, he’s a busy person that’ll always try to make a little time to help someone out.
