If allowed to carry, I’m packing, are you?
Ben Garcia
When students are allowed to carry handguns on campus I know at least one person who will be packing heat.
And now, so do you. How so, you ask?
Well, it is because I’ll be that person carrying.
When people ask why I would carry a gun on campus my answer is simple and always the same.
Because this is America … land of the free, home of the brave.
Ok, I don’t really say land of the free and home of the brave.
Either way, my point is that we live in a country that was founded on principles like “right to bear arms.”
If I’m given the opportunity to bear arms, I’ll do it.
I’m not one of those crazies who thinks the right to bear arms is a God-given right.
I believe in responsible “gun management.”
With that being said, a problem with being allowed to carry handguns in Arizona is the fact you are not required to have a concealed-carry weapons permit before owning and carrying a concealed handgun anymore.
The only restriction is you must be 21 and older to a carry concealed handgun.
I’m not one to complain about the system being broken because I’ve voted and felt I’ve had my say in who makes our states laws.
I may not agree with the law but what I choose to do is follow them and “play by the rules.”
So if the laws say I can pack then I will.
Can you blame me?
