Resorts offer students affordable vacations

Although winter break is over for students, this does not mean that winter festivities such as snowboarding or skiing are over. Many resorts in state and out of state offer some great deals to students allowing students to plan an inexpensive and reasonable trip.
Sunrise Park Resort, located in Greer, Arizona offers a great deal to anyone. When an adult lift ticket is purchased, you get the second ticket half off. That saves students $25. Also, for the ladies out there who enjoy these winter sports, every Thursday is ladies day which takes off $10 from the ticket price. For more information call (928) 735-7669.
Arizona Snowbowl located in Flagstaff, Arizona also offers some great deals as well. Snowbowl offers parties of nine, a group discount which includes one complimentary life ticket for the group leader, 10 percent discount coupon for food for each group member, and an option of one lift ticket, one lift ticket and one rental, or just a lift ticket, rental, and lessons. Snowbowl also has the Stay & Ski Free package where when you book a room at Snowbowl lodging you will receive a free continental breakfast and an all day adult lift ticket to Snowbowl as well. Bear Mountain, located in Big Bear Lake, California has many options for any winter sport thrill seeker. To stretch your dollar even further, Big Bear has some great money saving discounts. A current special running is a bounce back voucher. Every All-Day Area Use ticket that is purchased, will receive a bounce back value of $10 for adults and $5 for children. This special is valid Sunday through Friday and anytime after March 1 through the end of the 2009-2010 winter season. Also, Bear Mountain invite’s you to ski or ride free on your birthday with a valid ID present.
The best deal that Bear Mountain has to offer is The Half-Day Getaway. This program lets you ski or ride all morning and leave by early afternoon . Durango Mountain Resort located in Durango, Colorado has a few package deals that the resort offers its guests. The resort offers a $238 air-inclusive ski package to guests. This includes airfare as well as a day pass a long with a lift ticket. Discount airfare is available only in conjunction with booking Durango Mountain Resort lodging. A Military special is also offered to those men and women serving our country offering $65 rate per night stayed at the resort.
If you’re a beginner and need lessons, Durango offers a few deals. Adult Learn to Ride has a class from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as well as an afternoon class from 1:15-3:30 p.m. Rates start at $50. The Learn to Ride program was developed by Burton and snowboard instructors worldwide to make learning to ride easy, painless and fun.
