Sound Wave Music Festival at Tempe’s Big Surf Water Park is under a week away and the third annual installment is going to be massive.

The show is crashing down at 1500 McClintock Ave. at 2 p.m. on Sept. 29.

Pretty Lights captivated the crowd at Phoenix’s Comerica Theater on Sept.18, and Bounce Festival isn’t until Oct. 26 so Sound Wave is the place to be in the Valley for EDM.

“I cant wait for Sound Wave,” said Ashley Blanchard MCC Student,” I always go to EDM shows and one in a water park sounds awesome,” she said.

Since its inception in April 11 Sound Wave has conducted their EDM fest in a functioning water park, bringing heart-pumping base together with heart pounding water slides.

Headliner Calvin Harris is coming to the event after hitting a bunch of America’s biggest music festivals. R3hab, Adventure Club, Crizzly, Seven Lions and Burns are joining him for what is sure to be the hottest electronic dance music festival in Arizona.

“Calvin Harris is so amazing, I saw him at Coachella this year his set was so good,” said Blanchard, ” if he is going to be this close to Mesa I’m totally in there.”

Tickets can be purchased at soundwaveaz.com or at Graffiti Smoke shop on Mill Ave. and a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Big Brother Big Sisters of Central Arizona. General admission is only open for people 18-years of age or older.
