Treating animals without respect is a big no

Julija Kaselyte

Every time I get a cold, everyone knows why.

Because I don’t eat meat and the consequence of it is that my immune system is weak.

I don’t want to hear that.

The other day I was reading an article about how an Italian guy, who used to be vegetarian for a long time started eating meat again.

He claimed that consuming meat products healed and protected him from “every disease”.

First of all, believe it or not, but meat is bad for your health.

And it’s not just my opinion or wish to protect poor animals.

If anyone would stop eating meat just for a week, they would feel the obvious difference.

Again, why not eat meat?

First of all, it’s murder, but you don’t care about it at all, don’t you?

You think it has nothing to do with you that tens of billions animals are being slaughtered every year in our dear America only?

Animals are victims and it is not okay.

They are killed for our plates every second.

But if you don’t want to support animals, then why don’t you at least think of your health?

Every day about 2,400 Americans die of some sort of heart diseases.

Not scared yet?

Still want that burger?

What about this – do you know what you eat when you eat meat?

For example, fecal matter that contains salmonella bacteria, campylobacter, Escherichia coli, to mention a few.

Doesn’t sound yummy for me.

But people would ask the same question over and over again, “If I stop eating meat what would I eat then?”

I don’t think it should be a problem.

If I can do it, everyone can.

I can hear you whispering “Vegans just eat lettuce”.

It’s neither funny nor true.

You don’t have to give up on your favorite food.

Find some alternatives for it.

You can even get a burger, just ask for a vegan one.

Also, technology is a blessing, so use it to find new recipes online and have fun cooking at home.

Look up for vegetarian or vegan restaurants in town.

Whatever your favorite dinner place is, ask to add tofu to your noodles instead of a pile of chicken and I’m sure they will.

Don’t get me wrong, I like McDonald’s. For their fries.

I am proud to be a member of PETA and not eat animals, but support them.

I have no problem wearing a fake leather jacket or boots as well.

Cosmetics and all the other tests on animals must be stopped without any doubt as well.

What did those lovely creatures do to us to deserve losing eyes and what not?

I’m the list of companies that don’t do experiments on animals is getting longer.

Whoever said “Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any way” was so freaking right.
