Volleyball serves up a mixed season

The Mesa Thunderbird’s volleyball team tried, but fell hard on Sept. 18 to SCC, bringing the current season’s record to 1 win and 4 losses.

The women’s team had a rocky start in the first game.Scottsdale rolled the Thunderbirds over with a score of 25-13.
Scottsdale defeated the T-birds in the second game 25-20. The third game ended the match with a final score of 25-1 SCC.
The Thunderbirds achieved their first victory by beating the Pima Aztecs after five grueling games on Sept. 9.
The match began with MCC winning the first game 25-16, and losing the second game 25-20.
The third game was won by MCC with 25-22, and the fourth game was won by Pima with 25-21.
Last, but not least, MCC became the victors in the fifth with a score of 15-11.
