2nd annual Fall Frenzy hits Tempe Beach Park

Iliana Deanda

It’s that time of year again, the time for Fall Frenzy. This year marks the second annual Arizona Fall Frenzy hosted by X103.9, a Phoenix radio station, at Tempe Beach Park. X103.9 will be hosting a series of two shows on Sept. 17, and 18.”I am really excited to attend Fall Frenzy on the 18th,” said MCC student Garrett Richardson.

“This year the lineup is amazing and most of all it’s a rarity. Sublime featuring Rome is playing, that’s unheard of. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity not only for me, but for any other Sublime fan.”

The festival includes many of today’s hottest recording artists, along with food vendors, arts and more.

Some of this year’s artists include Shinedown, Stone Temple Pilots, Sublime featuring Rome, PRIMUS, The Dirty Heads, and Weezer.

The Uproar Tour will be hosted by Rockstar energy drink as well as 98 KUPD.

Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold will be co-headling, other bands playing include Stone Sour, Halestorm, Hellyeah, New Medicine, Airbourne, and Hail the Villian.

“I really think it’s great that 98KUPD is also hosting a day,” said ASU student Will Pinon.

“I’m really excited to see Stone Sour and a few of the other artists. This is something I have been looking forward to for a long time.”

New experiences along with great music is what makes Kristen Boothe excited to attend the Uproar tour.

“I like to experience different genres of music and see how different artists put on shows,” Boothe said.

“I love concerts in general, I’m really excited to see Avenged Sevenfold because I have never seen them live, and their latest CD is truly amazing musically and lyrically,” Boothe said.

The three day festival varies in artist, with each day corresponding to a certain type of audience. This year X103.9 will be hosting this event on the 17 and 18, while 98KUPD will be hosting the “Uproar Tour” on the 19.
