Tammy Robinson announced as finalist for president role at Roxbury Community College
Mesa Community College president Tammy Robinson, still on a formal leave of absence since Jan. 2024, was announced on April 19 through social media as a finalist for the president position at Roxbury Community College outside Boston, Massachusetts.
Roxbury will be conducting open interview forums with Robinson from April 29-30, according to the college’s website.
An email accidentally sent to certain employees on Jan. 26 announced Robinson would go on a leave of absence, with no specific reason given.
“I look forward to meeting the search committee and participating in the continued growth and advancement of the Roxbury Community College campus and community,” said Robinson in a cover letter published to the Roxbury website.
The Roxbury website details a timetable outlining a July 1, 2024 for the new president that is hired.
Robinson’s leave was the first in a series of administrative changes which took place over the spring 2024 semester.
Kimberly Britt is the current president of Phoenix College and has been serving as the interim president at MCC since Robinson’s leave was announced.
The Mesa Legend was unable to communicate with Britt or the district regarding more information about Robinson’s leave and Britt’s position as interim president.
The Mesa Legend has reached out to Institutional Advancement at MCC and Communications at Roxbury, but have not received a response.
