“It’s a beautiful night for football..the full moon is rising over the superstition mountain and funny things sometime happen when there’s a full moon.” Jeff Thompson, Thunderbirds offensive coordinator, expressed before the football game vs. the Snow Badgers.Unfortunately, things seemed to go in favor of the Badgers Oct. 3.

Thunderbirds prepared differently for the game against the badgers, but struggled to defeat them with a 0-44 loss.

Four yards from the touchdown marker, quarterback, Taylor Perkins of the mcc t-birds, threw a pass to # 83 Jordan fox, waiting for the ball, which tips out of his hands, resulting in 4th down turnover.

Mesa left the first half with the score sitting at 0-13, and brought up momentum in defense during the third quarter.

Leading the team with tackles, linebacker Al Savea, along with the rest of the T- Bird defense tried to stop the Badgers from scoring, but often lacked in working strongly as a team.

The Thunderbirds have yet to score a touchdown on their home.

Only half way through the season, the talented players will be expected to soon build the confidence for success.

If T- Birds strive for a win it will lead to an exciting second half of the 2009 season. With every game the Thunderbirds pick up new areas to practice, and hopefully soon it will lead to a favorable final score.
