How was your tour with Snoop Dogg?
“It was amazing. We did about 22 shows in a course of a month and it was a ball. All of the bands were hanging out. It was us, Steven Marley, Mickey Avalon and Snoop Dogg. It was just a big happy family out there. It was a lot of fun because every day was a new city and we had really great turn outs,” drummer Ryan Moran said. What was the crowd like? Was it a mixed crowd?
“Yeah, it was a co-headlining tour. Everyday Mickey Avalon would start the show and Steve Marley would be second and depending on the ticket sales, it would determine who would play last. It was honestly cool. There were no egos, no vibes, and no diva-ness. Everyone was just really respectful like how all tours should be,” Moran said.

When it came time to put this tour together how did you know which artists you wanted to take on the road with you?
“When we were looking for people at the beginning of last year, we knew we wanted to do something cool. We were wondering who we could get to do this tour with us and we had a few artists in mind but Snoop was absolutely our first choice,” Moran said.

You’ve played with Snoop Dogg, Bad Religion and Sublime. Is there anyone else you would like to share the stage with?
“We are not opposed to doing anything. There are so many good artists out there. We’ve supported a good deal of different types of artists so I feel like we can tailor what we need to do musically depending on the type of act we are playing with, especially if we are supporting a group like the Dave Matthews Band,” Moran said

I think that what makes you guys unique is that you’re really open towards anything.
“We try to mix up some styles and just have fun. All of us listen to different stuff all the time. Some of the guys listen to jazz even classical music, and the other guys listen to straight punk rock or just roots reggae and dub so you get all that together and put that into one,” Moran said.

I can’t help but notice that you tour with Pepper often, so what is the relationship status between Pepper and Slightly Stoopid?
“We love those guys. They are like our brothers. We have been working with them for years and have the same management. When we are with them, we know them well and they know us so well. All of our quarks and personality traits are similar,” Moran said

Any chance you will collaborate with Pepper?
“Yeah, you know we have been talking about that forever. It’s one of those things where when we are on tour they are at home and when we are home they are on tour. Our schedules are so opposite so it really hasn’t presented itself as of yet but I’m sure before to long we will have the tracks together,” Moran said.
