College Incident Report

Criminal Damage: Feb. 17, a campus police officer learned the identity of a student who caused damage to another student’s vehicle the previous day following a minor incident over a parking space in lot J. The suspect “keyed” the side of the victim’s car. Efforts are underway to contact the suspect for criminal prosecution and referral to the Dean of Student Affairs.Other Agency Assist: Feb. 17 at 1:35 p.m., a campus police officer assisted Tempe Police detectives in locating and arresting a student that was wanted on several outstanding felony warrants.

Theft: Feb. 18 at 11:06 a.m., a student reported the theft of his laptop computer from first floor mens restroom. A campus police officer responded and was able locate and identify a former student as the suspect. The suspect was arrested for the theft and charged through Mesa City Court. The computer was recovered and returned to the victim.

Assault: Feb. 20 at 1:15 p.m., a campus police officer located a suspect that was involved in an assault against a minor female the previous week. The suspect had ap
proached the female outside the library on Feb. 13 and aggressively attempted to kiss her. The officer arrested the suspect and turned him over to Mesa PD. He is on parole for a prior child molestation case and had outstanding warrants from MCSO.

Bike Theft: Feb. 19 a student reported the theft of his bicycle from the north library bike rack. A check of the campus CCTV system revealed that the theft occurred on Feb. 17 at 11:45 p.m. The suspect was an unknown Caucasian male. Investigation continues.

Theft: Feb. 22 at 1:15 p.m., a student reported that person(s) unknown broke into his vehicle as it was parked in lot C and stole a laptop and a wallet containing several credit cards. The vehicle door lock was tampered with to gain entry to the car. Investigation continues.

Bike Theft: Feb. 22 at 9 p.m. a student reported the theft of his bicycle from the bike rack near the MS building. No suspect(s) are known.

Agency Assist: On Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m., a campus police officer assisted a Gilbert Police detective in locating a student on campus that was wanted for a narcotics violation.

Subject Disturbing: On Feb. 28 at 4:55 p.m., a campus police officer responded to parking lot A regarding a subject disturbing. The officer contacted the non-student and was met with hostility and a lack of cooperation. The subject was asked to leave campus and not return.
