Legend’s View

Although everyone may believe in a different origin of Christmas, nowadays everyone knows it as a time for giving.
Or is it giving to recieve? Of course we all give gifts straight from the heart, but the gift of giving can be misconstrued during the holiday season.
In our generation of technology, there are always new toys and tricks to want for Christmas, and in that we may lose the notion to bestow.
It’s easy to get back to the concept though; just think of how you’d feel recieving that special gift Christmas morning, and the pleasure you’d get out of it.
You can easily make your closest friend or family member feel the same way by just channeling the spirit of your fancy into giving.
Giving can grow even larger than individual gifts; from cooking a family dinner to larger means, such as charity.
Proof that Christmas spirit should be directed toward gratuity, charities are always more prevalent during the holiday season.
This year, Christmas is going to be even harder to maintain, considering the severe struggle of the economy.
We’re all lacking the cash to go all out on gifts, but perhaps it doesn’t need to be about presents.
Where did the obligation to spend money come from?
Don’t bend to the pressure and become one of many shoppers weighted down by bags of holiday treats.
The spirit needs to be more alive, getting back to basics- “it’s the thought that counts.” Even just decorating with lights or paper snowflakes can put someone in the right spirits.
Good will and generosity are the most respectable traits of not only Christmas, but the entire season. So get in the spirit and spread the cheer!
