MCC Dance Co. brings comedy, footwork to stage

Kristin Villalpando

MCC Dance Co. with On Tap and Propel presented “Maybe I do Maybe I Don’t”, a story of three brides, told through dance and tap, who plan to get at the same time. After a wild bachelorette party and a rocky bridal party the final day comes and all three walk uneasily down the aisle. Suddenly all decide, “maybe not” and run their separate ways leaving the men at the altar.

They have decided that they have dreams far beyond the simple Minnesota wedding and lifestyle.

One decides she wants to go to join the army and begins boot camp. Afterward, she plans to go to the Middle-East and see what is in store for her there. Another girl seeks mystery and adventure in South America. The last friend seeks inner guidance and peace in India.

Alyxis Trujillo, one of the MCC Dancers rocked the stage with her huge personality and variety. Trujillo says working with all the different styles is her favorite part, and dancing is her passion, as she greets all of her family and friends that were there to support her.

On Taps very own Adrienne Frederick says she has been dancing since she was two years old and doesn’t mind all the hard work because she loves to perform.

She enjoys her teacher Mary Wall and said that the group has stuck together through the semesters and has grown attached to the class and the people in it.
