Technology democratizes creativity of everyone

For the creative spirit that resides in mankind, there is no greater time to be alive than the present to put that energy to use with modern technology.One need not own a full-fledged studio, or pay for time to be in one, to create music.Producing and directing hardware and software to make videos is available to big name directors and people looking to be the next big thing on YouTube alike.
Not only are the tools accessible to anybody, but as the tech improves prices become more affordable as well.The sort of HD cameras that cost the average person’s entire yearly salary just a decade ago, can be had by even the most budget conscious among us. Chasing one’s dreams need not be something laughed off as impossible; if we can take the time to learn, we can take the time to do just about anything we can imagine.
Quitting one’s day job may be a sign of dedication to one’s desires, but those behind the creation of ever better tools of creativity are also streamlining at the same time. Workflows will continue to improve in fields that use such tools, because the competition between products that fulfill similar needs requires companies to enhance their creations. What this means for the average person, is that one can be increasingly more productive during off-hours, perhaps turning what was once a hobby into something more profound.
Companies also seem to be catching on, that the high cost of admission, charged because of a perception of having only a few viable customers, has likely been a hindrance to profit. Each individual sale counts for less if prices decrease, but those with an interest in trying their hand at something might be inclined to do so if prices are lower.Advancements in thought, and utilization of skill, in any pursuit increase proportionally with the number of people involved.
Humans have done this for our entire history, as we improve on what those who have come before us have innovated. Society benefits from the sharing between humans, and the various elements of culture are an example of this truth. Art can transcend the differences between us, and communicate something deeper. Being creative is not solely artistic in nature, and the exponential improvement of all that we engineer has applications beyond what we might imagine.
Video games, once considered purely as entertainment, have been utilized for scientific research, military training, and much more besides. Pursuing a creative outlet with zeal is no longer a luxury. I look forward to the future with the expectation that technology will only continue to improve people’s opportunities to make a place for themselves.
