For a movie that was made in this generation, why was it that the best film makers could do was cartoon aliens? They had the technology back in the 70s to make realistic aliens looking like those seen

Kanye West needs to put his mouth on lockdown.Do not mistake, West is a very talented musician, I enjoy his music, and the dedication he shows to everything in his life. But there is a time to talk, and a time to be silent. He does not know the difference.

The most recent case was the final straw for me, and as it seems, everyone else’s too.

On Sept. 13, Video Music Awards aired on MTV and the award for Best Female Video was given to the country starlet Taylor Swift.

Her excitement shown at the win of her first ever VMA, but her moment was cut short when West walked on stage, took the microphone from her hands, and spoke.

“Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time! One of the best videos of all time,” West said.

He then proceeded to shrug, handed the microphone back to Swift, and walk off the stage to a crowd of “boos.”

Obama had it right. “Jackass.”

Thankfully, West was removed from the venue for the remainder of the show.

Although, I might give him some credit; after the incident, he posted two apologies on his blog and apologized again on his Jay Leno appearance.

If only he kept his mouth shut in the first place.

Unfortunately, West was causing a stir long before the VMAs.

On Sept. 2, 2005, during a benefit concert for Hurricane Katrina relief on NBC, West was a featured speaker.

Appearing with Michael Meyers, he deviated from the script and uttered those famous words.

“George Bush doesn’t care about black people.”

Why Kanye? Why would you use that moment to share?

It is a shame to think that his opinion overshadowed all the work and dedication of the artists and other celebrities who were a part of the benefit.

The appropriate time would have been in an interview or on his blog, but not on live television.

Of course, the controversy continues. In 2006, he appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in the image of Jesus, wearing a crown of thorns.

Now, I am agnostic and not a very religious person, but even I was slightly offended by the idea that West would see himself in such a manner.

He is a show-off. West does not know the difference between cockiness and confidence, or he just refuses to care.

West only wants to get a rise out of people, which irritates me beyond belief, and the only thing that bothers me is… it works.

West gets the attention he wants from his obnoxious rants. He may be a valued musician, but he must realize his opinion is subjective.

Why is it necessary to put others down at pivitol moments in their career if he’s such a great artist?

He makes himself appear to be more heartless than he could possibly sing about, if he wants to stay in the game he needs to learn that it’s not all about what he thinks.
